I would like to thank you old friends and new friends for coming out and supporting me at this year's Rock the Republic in Bryan, TX. It was great meeting/talking with you guys. It was also nice to share some stories and new songs with everyone. Rock the Republic was a great event, and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys live music. There were some really amazing bands there that I'm sure will be back next year.
I'm working on a few 2011 dates, but I'm starting to focus my efforts toward 2012. I'd like to book some house shows as the ones I have played in the past have been really fun. If you are interested in hosting or learning about house shows email me at booking@dillonchevalier.com. Keep your eyes and ears open for some upcoming news. Thanks again for your support.
Big News! I'm playing the Rock the Republic festival in Bryan, TX on Nov. 12th at the La Salle Hotel from 11-12 PM. There will be over 120 bands playing Nov. 11-12 all throughout the downtown area. Here are the ticket details:
Hey guys! So this is the new look and feel of my website. Feel free to play around with it and let me know what you think. I've got two great shows coming up this month:
July 15th - Opening Bell Coffee - 8:00PM - Jeff Tweedy Tribute w/ Nicholas Altobelli & Taylor Davis
July 27th - Kessler Theater - 8:00PM - w/ Nicholas Altobell & Kelsey Waldon
Great News! The album is complete! Big thanks to Andy Teel for all the hard work he put forth toward the album. I couldn't have done it without his effort. I also want to thank Wes Cargal, Benjamin McClish, Mitch Drennan, and anyone else who I have overlooked that contributed to the album. I'm excited that all of the work on the album was done among friends.
The copies of the album have been ordered and should be here within the next few weeks. My plan is to release it in April/May. You'll be able to buy a physical copy or download it off iTunes. I'm currently working on some album release gigs in various towns/cities so keep an eye out for that.
I have also updated my calendar with some new shows for April. I'll be appearing at White Rock Coffee in Dallas on the last three Sundays of April (10th, 17th, 24th) as their Artist of the Month. I hope you enjoy the song that I've uploaded on to the website. Thanks!
I can't believe September was the last show I played. I've started teaching school in Garland and last semester took a pretty good hold on me. I'm happy to say though that I've starting booking again and will hopefully have some dates for you soon. Oh, and I think I remember working on an album as well. It should show up pretty soon (heard that before?). The music is done so all that is needed is some final artwork corrections.
Thanks for keeping up with me and for all your support.
Hello! I have uploaded "Colorado River" to my website so people can listen to what I've been up to. There will be a few more changes to the song, but this is pretty much the final version. Please let me know what you think. I hope you enjoy.

My friend Dylan Sneed just released his new album called Texodus. The album is incredible and gets better every listen. You can hear full tracks on his Myspace or Official Website. You can purchase the album on CDBaby.
After you're done listening and purchasing Texodus, go check out my new album update on my blog.
I'll be playing a show at the Walking "S" Steakhouse in Gilmer this Saturday (June 19th) at 6:30 p.m. Come check it out! Also, check out the Walking "S" Steakhouse website.

That is the link to my blog. I haven't decided what to do with the blog on this page. Maybe delete it or maybe post the same thing from my blogspot. We'll see. Check it out!
"Across From Me" is now available on iTunes! You can download the entire album or buy single songs. Pretty cool. I will hopefully have more songs available for download in the upcoming months. Stay iTuned.

I just wanted to say thanks to all the people who supported me in 2009. It was a slow year for me, but I learned a lot. Twenty-Ten should have much more going on since I'll be releasing my second full-length album within the year.
I'll be heading back into the studio tomorrow to resume recording for "All I Need". I'm starting to expect an early summer release for the album. Summer tour possibly???
In the next few months I'll be posting updates regarding the status of the album, and I should have all of the songs from "Across From Me" available for download on iTunes.
Next show: January 23rd @ Buon Giorno in Grapevine, TX. Show starts at 8PM.
Here is an upcoming show I'm going to do in Longview, TX with some fellow local musicians:
Mugshot Coffee House
in Longview, TX
Saturday, August 1st, 2009
6:00PM - Andrew Beason
7:00PM - Dillon Chevalier
8:00PM - Levi Kitchen
9:00PM - Gary Ritchey
Cost: Free
Starting next week, I'll be heading back into the studio to begin recording my second full length album. Once again, I will be working with Andy Teel, this time at his home studio in Kilgore, Tx. I feel really good about the material and possibilities. So far, we have recorded a number of demos that will appear on the album. Wes Cargal, who played drums on "Across From Me", will be laying down the drum tracks, and we will also be experimenting with some other instrumentation. There is no release date set at this time, but I hope it will come out sometime this summer.
I have uploaded one of the demos that will be on the album to my myspace page. The song is called "All I Need" and is a good indication of what direction I'm heading.
Also, I'm always on the lookout for good musicians who want to help out. I need talented musicians who are willing to provide a free service. It doesn't matter what instrument. I'm looking around for someone to do general photography and album photography as well. If you or someone you know might be interested let me know.

2008 was a productive year for me. I played 46 shows including many open mics in College Station and the DFW area. I also began playing a large portion of my shows in Austin. “Across From Me†continued to sell well at shows, and probably more importantly, I have had a lot of pressure from fellow friends and independent music listeners to record a new album. These few things are more than enough to inspire me for the year 2009.
This year will likely be a stressful year due to the uncertainty of a job and location after I graduate in May. However, I have definite plans of heavily booking shows throughout the year. I have also begun plans to record an album set to be released within the year.
I have decided to make a list of 10 goals for 2009. I think they are all very achievable and many can be done right here at home. Here it is:
1. Play 50+ shows
2. Finish album.
3. Create t-shirts.
4. Blog more.
5. Read up on the art of songwriting.
6. Play festivals.
7. Think of my songs as evolving and never completely finished.
8. Broaden the music and artists I listen to.
9. Play at 10+ different cities/towns.
10. Get my music on radio stations.
Finally, I want to thank everyone who has supported my music. It means a lot and doesn’t go unnoticed. I wish everyone a wonderful 2009.

Hello there!
I just wanted to thank everyone who voted once, twice, daily, or maybe even multiple times per day in the ACL contest. Unfortunately, I did not make the top 100, but I did receive 466 votes. I plan on entering the contest once again next time so enjoy your year off!
I still have some shows scheduled in College Station and Austin so check out my calendar before you miss out. I plan on booking shows for November and December so be on the look out for that as well.
Again, I appreciate all the support that you guys have given me throughout the year.
